Basic support

This page provides basic support to the demo and the full version of the game.

System requirements

  • Windows XP, Vista or 7 with internet connection*
  • Pentium 4 (or equivalent) or better (or a netbook!)
  • 125 MB free memory
  • A mid-range, OpenGL compliant video card**
*Full game only: if you are not connected to the internet, for example when in a train, you can still play offline. However your highscore information can not be submitted then.

**It is hard to mention a minimum video card here. It depends on your system (laptop or desktop) as well. You could however say that with an Nvidia 7600 you are probably on the safe side, while with a Radeon X300 you are not. The safest thing to do is try the demo first. If that runs smoothly, you can safely play the full game as well.

Drivers

When you encounter any visual or audible artifacts when playing the game, make sure that you update your drivers. This folder shows examples or such possible problems: http://www.snakeworldsgame.com/images/forum/drivers/. If you don't know which hardware is in your machine, here is a quick way to find out: choose Start -> Run and enter dxdiag, which opens a dialog. Choose the "Monitor" tab and look at the "Name" and "Manufacturer" labels. Visit your manufacturer's website (for example Nvidia, AMD or Intel) and download drivers for your video card.

For the audio drivers, the necessary information wil be in the "Audio" tab.

No Paypal or credit card?

This website is setup for payment through Paypal. Paypal also accepts all major credit cards. However if you have neither, it is possible to buy this game using an (international) bank transfer. Please contact me at patman@snakeworldsgame.com, and we will handle things from there. Of course, this isn't an automated process, so it can take up to a few days before you will be able to play the game.
